My Story

Hi, I'm Anastasia.

As a female executive with 20+ years of progressive experience in the MedTech industry, I finally reached my goal and attained a role at the CxO level. But here’s the catch. I didn’t get there by working longer hours, hoping my work would speak for itself, or merely playing political games.

Instead, I developed a simple (yet effective) success formula that allowed me to consistently grow my career while maintaining work-life balance and meeting my family obligations. I’ve now channeled these key lessons learned into my MedTech Career Breakthrough program, a truly unique offering in the industry that assists leaders with three critical success areas: executive level skills, leadership effectiveness, and business results generation.

Why I coach?

After 20 amazing years of corporate adventures, I decided to retire and dedicate my energy to my family and my budding coaching business. So, why do I coach?

Let me tell you, coaching is my passion! I didn’t actively seek out coaching as a career. It found me naturally over the years. As people came to me for advice on all kinds of career and leadership related things, I found myself enjoying being of service to others and helping them achieve their goals.

The incredible transformations I’ve witnessed my clients achieve are what make coaching so meaningful to me. When a client texts or calls me saying, “I did it! Thank you for your help!” It makes my day. If I knew back then what I know now, I could have saved myself so much time, frustration, and heartache in the process. That’s why I find coaching so rewarding: I can help others navigate their own paths and achieve their dreams more quickly and smoothly than I did.

But there's another reason why I coach - I've experienced the power of coaching firsthand.

Throughout my own executive career, I always had a coach by my side. And behind every successful career woman, there’s usually her family and her coach! Coaching helped me navigate tough decisions, negotiate better compensation packages, and achieve my own career goals.

Finally...

Finally, I am setting an example for my daughter! Girl power is taken seriously in our household. I want her to know that with the right mindset, support, and action, there is nothing that she cannot achieve. And yes, I am coaching her too!

That’s why I decided to pursue formal coaching training from the World Coach Institute, recognized by the International Coaching Federation. Coaching with Anastasia was born soon after.

What makes building a career in MedTech uniquely challenging?

While there are similarities with other industries such as a product that meets the needs of a specific audience, this space comes with distinct challenges:

Products need clinical proof of being safe and effective for patients, which can be nuanced.
There is a robust regulatory environment that product development cycles must comply with.
The reimbursement and economics of who pays for the product or solution can be complex, involving patients, government, private insurance, or hospitals.
There are strict regulations regarding promotion and advertising.
The recent impact of COVID on the supply chain and material costs.

Working in biotech requires additional skills such as understanding human anatomy, complex clinical data, and full-blown surgical procedures. Building a career or business in this industry is rewarding, but navigating the complex environment requires both technical and soft skills, no matter the functional area.
